The Watch Sport from LG went up for sale last Friday and it has now arrived at the DL offices. Before we can provide you with a complete review, though, we are obligated by DL law to provide you with an unboxing. No, it’s not an actual law, I made that up, but we do very much enjoy unboxing things.
To put it lightly, the Watch Sport is the largest Android Wear device I have ever put on, right up there with the TAG Heuer Connected. The Watch Sport features a 1.38″ Circle POLED display, Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 4GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM, and even LTE connectivity thanks to a SIM port on the backside of the device.
Other specs include NFC for use with Android Pay, a heart rate monitor, barometer, wireless charging, IP68 (water and dust resistance), and a 430mAh battery. For all of that, the price is set at $349. Provided the size, I will say, in comparison to the TAG Connected, that device has a 1.5″ display and a 410mAh battery, but a $1500 price tag.
Here’s the unboxing video so I can hurry along and get to reviewing this thing.
