Following up on December’s story that Google wanted to make Chrome a better place to find virtual reality content, sites are already going up to support the initiative. This week, there are a handful of websites that offer VR-supported content, such as light gaming, interactive documentaries, and more.
When on these sites, users need only browse a “VR Experience” they want to try, choose to enter VR, then put the Daydream-supporting phone inside a Daydream View headset. That’s when the magic happens.
For what’s available, there is a space teleporting experience, helicopter ride-along, story about releasing a bear back into the wild, Matterport access (large library of VR exploration experiences), plus more.
As for the future, Google says it will work to offer more users a chance to try out these VR-enabled sites.
We want to bring VR to everyone on any device, and in the coming months we’ll add support for more headsets, including Google Cardboard.
Below are links to different sites with the unique VR experiences.
Have at ’em!
