The Chromecast Ultra, Google’s latest HDMI dongle capable of streaming 4K content, is now up for purchase on the Google Store. The Ultra is priced at $69, and will ship about 2-3 weeks from now, according to Google.
For that extra price bump in relation to a standard $35 Chromecast, Ultra owners will find 4K+HDR content from providers like Netflix and YouTube, as well as Google Play Movies in the future. Even if you don’t have a 4K TV, Google states that the Ultra will offer a “striking” streaming experience, thanks to an updated internal processor and WiFi technology.
The Ultra is up for sale right now, so if you don’t already own a set-top box or console capable of streaming 4K content, this is a solid option.
