Capital One, one of the last remaining major banks to avoid Samsung Pay, has finally joined as a supported card. The announcement came today via the Samsung Pay app and appears to include a good chunk of Capital One cards.
According to Samsung Pay’s supported cards site, Venture, Venture One, Quicksilver, QuicksilverOne, Platinum, Journey, Secured Mastercard, Spark Cash, Spark Miles, Spark Cash Select, Spark Miles Select, and Spark Classic are all eligible for use.
In order to activate a Capital One card, I was asked by Samsung Pay to verify through the Capital One Wallet app. It only took a minute and then let me be on my way. Just keep that in mind in case you don’t already have that app installed.
