While the new Moto G has leaked more times over the last few weeks than we can count, the Moto X (3rd gen) has done a pretty good job of remaining mostly out of sight. Tough to tell if that’s because Motorola is only going to give us a new Moto G and save the Moto X for later this summer or if there are fewer in the wild to be leaked. Either way, you know we are excited to see this year’s flagship from Motorola, since the last two from the Lenovo-owned company have topped our charts the last two years.
If today’s rumor out of HelloMotoHK – the group who stays as close as anyone to the Motorola beat – is true, you should be excited too.
According to a post of theirs to G+ this morning, the new Moto X (3rd gen) could sport a 5.5-inch FHD display (1080p), 21MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, microSD slot, Android 5.1.1, Snapdragon 808, and a whopping 3600mAh battery. Boom.
I know that a few will question the decision to go FHD (1080p) instead of QHD, but personally, I’d take FHD if it means full two-day battery life. And with an efficient processor from 2015, along with that battery powering a 1080p resolution, this could be the battery king.
Assuming previous leaks are correct, the new Moto X looks like this.
You ready?
