This morning, Twitter announced a revamping of “quote” retweets, meaning that when you retweet a tweet with the original tweet quoted, it should show up much more cleanly in your friend’s timeline. If it sounds a tad bit confusing, don’t worry, you are not alone.
Right now, when you Quote retweet a user, you are met with quotation marks in the tweet you are about to send out. According to Twitter, they have done away with this, and instead, the quoted tweet should appear more in-line with whatever it is you are saying on top of the original tweet.
The below video, which is very short, gives you a great example of what to expect after the update.
And speaking of the update, Twitter states that this new feature is now available for iPhone and web users, but is “coming soon” on Android.
