Google Keep on desktop received two very handy new features today that we can only hope come to the Android app before long. A refresh of Keep on the web returned a pop-up that tells users of the arrival of labels and recurring reminders. Yes, you can finally organize your Keep account(s).
With labels, you can keep your Keep organized by project, daily to-dos, work, personal, etc. You can filter by label, create new ones, and add multiple labels to notes. But maybe more importantly, when you enter the Keep tab on your computer, you will feel your blood pressure lower immediately knowing that your notes aren’t just a scattered mess any longer.
As for recurring reminders, you can choose to have items repeat on daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom intervals. I love it.
The update is live in Keep on the web, so as I mentioned above, refresh your Keep tab and you should be able to take advantage. Now, is the update coming to Android any time soon that will enable these two options? I can’t say for sure when, but today is Wednesday, and Google loves updating its apps on Wednesdays. Let’s hope that it is soon, because the labels from the web certainly aren’t appearing in the app as of this moment.
Update: Yay, the update is coming soon to Android, more than likely today through a slow staged rollout. (@Android)
Update 2: Here is the .apk in case you want to sideload. [DOWNLOAD LINK]
Update 3: And a look at the pretty new features in the app, including that lovely floating action button.
Cheers Vinu!
