MetroPCS Introduces $30 Per Month 1GB Plan

MetroPCS, T-Mobile’s prepaid arm, announced a new $30 plan this morning that they claim is the lowest cost option around. The new deal runs just $30 per month and includes unlimited talk and text, plus 1GB of data at full 4G speeds. They claim that the data is unlimited, but after you use that 1GB, you will be throttled into an incredibly painful data experience until the next month. Is that really unlimited? Whatever.

The plan is available to anyone with a MetroPCS 3G/4G GSM phone starting today, March 24.
