Report: OnePlus’ Next Flagship to Feature More Premium Materials, Including Metal

OnePlus, the company that released its last phone in 2014 as an invite only device, is reportedly going to up the premium feel of its next flagship, tentatively named the OnePlus Two

According to sources of Business Insider, the company will replace the polycarbonate (plastic) frame, replacing it with metal, which means we could be in for a much better feeling device in hand. Additionally, other plastic parts of the phone will be replaced with metal, making the whole device more premium looking.

As of right now, there are no other details known about possible specs or release timeframe. However, sources state that with the inclusion of more premium materials, the price could see a slight spike, which could hurt one of the reasons the One was so successful last year.

We quite liked the OnePlus One’s build quality last year, minus the inclusion of capacitive and touchscreen buttons. If OnePlus was to give us a more metallic phone, plus did away with the capacitive buttons, we would be on board.

What are your hopes for the OnePlus 2?
