A new version of Google Play is rolling out on this here update Wednesday as version 5.3.5. The update seems pretty minor from what I can tell, but does change up a couple of things in individual app/music/movie listings.
Instead of the notification bar in Lollipop showing as the Google Play blue when in listings, it now takes on the individual sections’ colors. For example, if you are looking at a specific app, you will see green in the notification bar. If you are looking at an album, you will see orange; a movie, red.
Also, the action bar now fully hides as you scroll down, but reappears if you scroll back up in listings. In previous versions, the action bar would fade into existence, listing out the name of the app or album as you scrolled down. That’s a waste of space, so with this new change, you get to view more content when scrolling, which is the way it should be.
If you notice anything else, be sure to let us know!
The update is rolling out slowly, so feel free to sideload it below.
