Report: Samsung Galaxy S6 to Incorporate Glass Backside, Non-Removable Battery

As stated in the latest report out of Korea, Samsung may look to change up its hardware design language quite drastically for the Galaxy S6. According to the report, the backside of the Galaxy S6 will look much differently from how we previously imagined it, incorporating an all glass exterior, instead of metal.

Said to look much like an iPhone (I know, shocker), the front and back will be all glass, while the rim and side of the phone will be metal. For comparison’s sake, think iPhone 4s.

Not only would we be looking at a glass phone, which would be a true first in Samsung’s lineup, but with a glass back, the battery would be non removable – another first for Samsung. One would argue that the removable battery on the Galaxy S and Note lineup is a huge plus, but if Samsung needs to change up its hardware design, then sometimes things to need to be cut.

This info conflicts with previous reports of a full metal device, but at this point in the year, we should start seeing more solid leaks for information on the device.

If it turns out Samsung gives us a glass phone with a non removable battery, would you be happy or disappointed?
