Lollipop Will Roll Out to HTC One (M8) Unlocked and Developer Editions Today (Updated)

If you are the lucky owner of an HTC One (M8) Unlocked or Developer Edition, there is cause to rejoice. Straight from VP of Product Management Mo Versi’s Twitter account is confirmation that Lollipop will be rolling out tonight, should all go as planned.

Sense 6 will accompany the updated version of Android. Assuming not much has changed from the leaks we have seen of Sense + Lollipop, the tweaks are few and far between: the icons, skin, app drawer, settings menu and even BlinkFeed plus the Sense Launcher appear to have gone largely untouched. A bigger overhaul will presumably have to wait for Sense 7 and the upcoming Hima flagship.

The OTA is well within the window of HTC Advantage, which promises timely Android updates. Versi previously pledged new firmware within 90 days of Lollipop’s availability.

Update:  It’s available now. Go check!
