If Snapchat is safe enough for you to send your nude selfies, then why not transfer cash from your bank account while you are at it? Today, Snapchat announced Snapcash, in partnership with Square, which allows users to send money to each other through the messaging interface of the application.
Sending money could not be any easier, as all you need to do is have your bank account or debit card attached to your account through Square, then fill in the amount you want to transfer, then hit send. The amount is then withdrawn from your account and placed securely in your friend’s bank. The overall goal is much like Square’s Cash, but obviously, all done through Snapchat and not email.
As of right now, Snapcash is only available to Snapchat users who are 18+, and have a debit card.
Let us know in the comments if you think this is a good idea or not.
