Ex-Googler Nikesh Arora Appointed to Sprint’s Board of Directors

In August of this year, long-time now ex-Googler Nikesh Arora, who left the company as its Chief Business Officer, has found a new home on Sprint’s board of directors, after becoming CEO of SoftBank Internet and Media Inc in October. With the Arora being added, that brings a total of nine chairs which make up Sprint’s board.

In the announcement, Masayoshi Son, chairman of Sprint’s board of directors, stated, “We’re very fortunate to have Nikesh join the Sprint board at this important juncture. His broad experience and executive leadership in leading edge technology companies will provide valuable insight and perspective to further Sprint’s growth and overall competitiveness.”

No telling how this move will affect Sprint and Sprint customers, but time will tell.

It seems like a long way to go from Google to Sprint, but if there might someone who can switch up Sprint’s game plan, maybe it’s an ex-Googler.

Thoughts?
