Task management apps are a dime a dozen, but Any.do has managed to carve out a niche for itself by taking a multifaceted approach. The developers pushed out a companion calendar app, called Cal, last year, and Any.do was one of the first to integrate with Google Now and support Google Glass. Fast approaching version 2.0, the Any.do is gaining a bevy of new management, file manipulation, and customization features, but a few will be locked behind a subscription.

According to the press release, Any.do’s app has been revamped to eliminate the “time suck” that comes from using disparate apps. It achieves this in part by simplifying team management and file attachments. Any.do 2.0 lets you add members (up to 2 for free, unlimited for subscribers) to a task and share written notes, videos, audio, pictures, Dropbox documents, and any file type up to 5MB (unlimited for subscribers).

Reminders and the UI customization options have also seen much-needed enhancements. Reminders can now be scheduled for any time and associated with any task, and paying users can now choose from five themes.

Any.do Premium is the company’s subscription service. It comes with the aforementioned benefits and adds customizable recurring tasks, location-based reminders, and dedicated support. Pricing starts at $5 per month/ $45 per year. Promotional pricing over the next 14 days reduces those totals to $3 and $27, respectively.
