Lollipop may be at least a few weeks out, but a few diligent developers have already begun incorporating elements of the Android update into their applications. The GO SMS team is the latest to do so, releasing GO SMS 6.0 with a UI inspired by Material Design.
The visual refresh, intended to make the interface “simpler and easier to use,” has been met with consternation by some who feel it sacrifices useful functionality in favor of form. Fortunately, folks can make that determination for themselves this weekend – in celebration of the update, GO SMS Pro is free until October 26 (normally $6.99).
To activate your Pro account, download the app from Google Play. Then, open the app and navigate to Menu > Settings > About > Enter Activation and use the code “appsales”.
Update: The promo code does not seem to be working. We are investigating the issue.
