A tweet recently sent out from the official Samsung Mobile account may hint at an update to Android 5.0 for the Galaxy Note 4. The thing is, it is no shocker that Samsung’s newest flagship device would eventually receive an update to Lollipop, it’s only a question of when.
With Google loading up servers with its final code for Lollipop, OEMs such as Samsung, HTC, and LG will begin working to bring the latest update to all of its top devices. However, this process takes time. HTC is the only company to ever promise a delivery date, which is 90 days after they receive final code from Google.
For Samsung, and the huge list of devices they support, that delivery window is probably a bit wider. However, with the Note 4 launching so close to the release of Lollipop, maybe new Note 4 owners won’t have to wait too long.
If anymore murmurings take place, we will let you know.
