Now that the Nexus 6 is official and all details are known, you probably want to know when and where you can get one, right? For the first time in the history of a Nexus device, the phone should be easy to get at every major carrier, assuming you either want to sign a contract or pay a pretty hefty full retail price. According to Google, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular will all carry the device, but you you will be able to get it through Google Play and Motorola’s store as well.
The Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order at the end of October, with shipments going out in November, maybe as early as November 12. The off-contract, full retail price will start at $649. We have to assume that that price is for the 32GB model. We do not yet know the price of the 64GB model. Edit: 64GB model is $699.
Here is the official availability statement from Google:
Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order in late October and in stores in November—with options for an unlocked version though Play store, or a monthly contract or installment plan through carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon. Specific carrier rollout will be subject to certification completion and will vary.
Here is the official availability statement from Motorola:
Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order through the Google Play Store in late October starting at $649. There are two colors to choose from – Midnight Blue or Cloud White – and two memory options – 32GB and 64GB. Nexus 6 will also be available on motorola.com and through carrier partners starting in November. You’ll hear from our carrier partners soon with additional pricing and availability information. In all, Nexus 6 will come to 28 countries across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America starting later this year and as we head into Q1.
AT&T confirmed that they will carry the phone, but offered no pricing or availability.
T-Mobile told us to expect the phone on November 12 at their stores for $0 down and $27.08 a month for 24 months.
US Cellular only told us to expect the phone in November.
We will update this post once we get official word from Sprint and Verizon.
Update: Sprint confirmed that they are carrying it, but would only offer availability of “coming weeks.”
