The G Watch R, LG’s first attempt at a circular Android Wear smartwatch, is set to become widely available at South Korea retailers next week on October 14, according to LG. Although, as reported by two separate South Korean publications, a few retailers may see it as early as October 13.
With a launch taking place in LG’s home country this soon, residents of the rest of the world may not have too much longer to wait either. It was previously reported by the Wall Street Journal that LG plans to release the smartwatch globally sometime in October, but no exact date has been released.
The G Watch R and its full circle display has been highly hyped here in the states and is set to take on Motorola’s Moto 360 and its apparent success.
