Android Distribution Updated for September 2014 – Kit Kat Closes in on 25%

The Android team updated the platform’s distribution numbers today for the month of September, showing continued growth in Kit Kat (Android 4.4+). The newest version of Android now sits at 24.5%, up from 20.9% in August. The rest of the versions of Android have all declined – Jelly Bean (53.8% from 54.2%), Ice Cream Sandwich (9.6% from 10.6%), Gingerbread (11.4% from 13.6%), and Froyo (0.7%).
