Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Photo Leaks, Features 5.98″ 720p Display

The original Galaxy Mega from Samsung was quite the device. While featuring a massive 6.3″ display, it was powered by mid-range specifications, not really making itself desirable to any American buyers. Unfortunately, for anyone hoping that the next rendition would be a bit more impressive, recent certification for the Galaxy Mega 2 shows another sad story.

From what is stated on the certification, the Galaxy Mega 2 will ship with a 5.98″ HD display (720p), Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 13MP rear-facing shooter, microSD slot, and come running Android 4.4+.

While that may not sound like the biggest disaster, the main beef people may find is Samsung’s unwillingness to place a 1080p display in such a large space. Whether this move was to save money to keep the device affordable, we will never know.

Like last year’s Galaxy Mega, there is a chance the second rendition of this device will make its way to AT&T or some other US carrier, but with the Galaxy Note 4 on the way, plus plenty of other better devices, it will be easy to pass this device for something else.

Do we have any Galaxy Mega owners here? Are you at all excited for a second coming of Mega?
