Let’s say you own an Android device, yet aren’t thrilled about running a 3rd party launcher, but still want to swap out the icons in your stock launcher for a more customized look. What are your options? I hate to break it to you, but you don’t have many. Beautiful Icon Styler is one option, an option that doesn’t even require root to work.
With Beautiful Icon Styler you can keep your Google Now, BlinkFeed, TouchWiz, and Motorola launchers, but still get that custom look with icons that other launchers provide. The app, without root, allows you to swap out individual or full sets of icons with the press of a couple of buttons. Should you decide that you don’t like the look, simply revert or choose another icon pack to apply. It works with Nova/Apex-ready icon packs.
Now, I should point out that the app doesn’t theme the apps in your app drawer, only the apps on your home screens. So it’s not the ultimate solution, but it certainly gets the job done for those who rarely enter their app drawers and do not mind if those apps aren’t themed.
The app is incredibly simple to use. Assuming you have a few icon packs installed, open Beautiful Icon Styler and you should see them listed. To apply, simply tap the “apply” button next to each and the app will do the work for you. If you would like to individually choose icons to style, you can do that as well, but that feature is only available in the paid version. If you need help finding icon packs, be sure to check out our long list of recommendations.
The app is free to try for “3 stylings.” To upgrade, so that you receive infinite stylings and the one-by-one selection feature, you are looking at a price of $0.99.
