Users of the media server service Plex will be excited to hear about the latest update to the Android application, which went live on Google Play today. Starting with the update, if you are a Plex Pass user, you will now have the option to automatically upload any photos taken by your camera to your server.
Automatic Camera Uploads are nothing new to anyone with a Google+ account, but this new update allows Plex users to do the same, and keep them on their own personal media server.
It works in pretty much the same manner; after being activated, Plex will upload photos in the background over WiFi ,and progress can be monitored through the notification tray. Plex seems dedicated to helping you with all of your media and this new feature will certainly make things easier if you are ever worried about losing your precious moments.
The update should be rolling out throughout the day, so keep checking back in Google Play if you do not have it yet.
