Back in December, Google began placing relevant apps within search results to ease users — if you searched for a movie, you could open it straight in your IMDb app from Google Search. We’re now receiving an update bringing this feature to 24 more applications and taking the feature worldwide for English.
The new apps will work just as apps such as IMDb and Etsy have done already, with full “deep link” support embedded within. For example, should you perform a Google search for sports related info, you could get a Bleacher Report link that will open the app on your device if installed. If you were looking up information for a trip, you could get a link that would open the TripAdvisor app.

- BigOven

- Booking.com
- Eventbrite
- Glassdoor
- Goodreads
- Huffington Post
- Merriam-Webster
- Realtor.com
- Seeking Alpha

It’s nice to be able to fire apps up from Search without specifically calling upon them, and this latest addition just makes it better. Thoughts?
