We got our hands on the One (M8) from HTC, and we gotta say, this is a nice device. This morning in New York City, HTC’s CEO Peter Chou spoke of making the best smartphone in the world even better. Featuring a slight, yet significant bump in specs and hardware, the M8 will lead the charge against Samsung’s Galaxy S5 in 2014.
Overall, the device feels like a One, but much more premium. There are no sharp edges as you would see on the original One, yet it does keep the overall shape, size, and weight of the M7.
The M8 features a 5″ 1080p display, dual back-facing cameras (1x Ultrapixel / 1x 2MP BSI sensor), a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 5MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, expandable microSD storage up to 128GB, Sense 6, running on top of Android 4.4.
