Stop the Presses: Flappy Bird May Make a Return to Google Play

A little more than a month ago, the world weeped as Flappy Bird made an exit for both Android and iOS devices. Spawning countless clones, it almost feels as if the game never left, but none of the copies could ever match the world’s most beloved hated game.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Dong Nguyen, the game’s creator, says he may be bringing it back. One of the initial issues Dong had with his creation is that it was simply, “too addictive.” While I myself would argue that the game is the exact opposite of addictive, there are probably millions of people who would disagree.

If Dong does in fact decide to bring the game back, he mentions that there will be a new warning for users, stating that breaks should be taken while playing the title. To make things simple to understand, he doesn’t want people going crazy over playing a simple, yet very aggravating game.

If you don’t believe people were actually losing their sh*t while playing Flappy Bird, Dong has been very open about the death threats that he received while the game was still live for people to download. It may seem like a very trivial game, but people take that flapping avian creature very seriously.

In the event that the game comes back, will you fall victim once again to its mesmerizing spell?
