Fans of the two apps PushBullet and Tasker are the ones who like to get things done quickly and efficiently. Today’s announcement will be a welcome one from both sides as PushBullet announced new Tasker integration into their notification app. Now you can get all the contextual awareness of Tasker and tie it into notifications for your devices.
The PushBullet team said that this marriage of apps had been requested for a long time, so as of today there is a new Tasker plugin for PushBullet rolling out. This lets users program their own Tasker commands, but then link them to a PushBullet notification. For example, when you receive a text message or phone call, send a copy of the message or caller as a notification to your tablet, or sending a synchronized notification to all of your Pushbullet devices when your phone’s battery drops below 10%. The only limit is what you can come up with in Tasker to be exported into your notification drawer. To add this new functionality, just update your existing PushBullet application through Google Play.
What can you think of using this new Tasker support for?
