AT&T Galaxy S4 Receiving Update to Kit Kat Tomorrow

This afternoon, AT&T announced through their official Galaxy S4 support page that the device would begin receiving an update to Android 4.4 “Kit Kat” tomorrow. As of right now, the Sprint variant is the only other U.S. carrier-tied Galaxy S4 to receive Kit Kat, so this puts AT&T users in rare company.

The update includes Galaxy Gear compatibility (really?), restyled navigation and notification areas, new lock screen features, more emoji, wireless printing, and all sorts of other goodies. The AT&T changelog doesn’t give much, but we have a changelog from Sprint that goes into a bit more detail. You can find that here.

Last week, Samsung gave us the official list of devices that will receive Kit Kat once carriers can get updates approved. Be sure to check out the list if you haven’t. Also, our Kit Kat update list is constantly getting updates.
