Newest Leak Suggests HTC M8 Looks “Strikingly” Like the One, Will Launch Late March

Over the weekend, plenty of new rumors dropped on the interwebs for the HTC M8, the successor of the HTC One. Leading the charge is evleaks, who posted two separate tweets surrounding the M8; one regarding its looks and another concerning the launch of the device. According to the tweets, the “M8 looks strikingly like the M7 (One),” and we should see a launch of the device in New York City around late March.

In a more tangible rumor, the on-screen buttons for the M8, which were apparently confirmed by evleaks last week, have been detailed thanks to a separate leak reposted by HTC Source.

This is our first look (below) at what HTC might use for the on-screen buttons on the M8, and so far, it’s typical HTC graphics. While the look of the buttons won’t constitute a letter home to your mom, the addition of on-screen buttons in general on an HTC device should have fans of the OEM quite happy. Below is a graphic of the buttons lined up next to the capacitive buttons for the HTC One and One X.

The M8 is cooking up to be a fancy 2014 flagship, so are you really looking forward to its official unveiling?
