Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet Receives Update – Improves LTE Connectivity, Camera, Battery Life, and More

Verizon has this self-branded tablet called the Ellipsis 7 that you probably don’t know much about. It’s a low-end tablet that they try to sell for more than you can pick up a 2013 Nexus 7 for. They also try to sell it with a 2-year contract for $150, which is quite possibly the worst deal in tech at the moment. It features a 1.2GHz unknown quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3.2MP camera, low-resolution 7-inch display by today’s standards, Android 4.2.2, and 8GB of storage. Again, it’s not great and probably shouldn’t be in your top 100 list of potential tablets to buy.

With that said, should you know someone who owns one, let them know that a big update is on the way. The update jumps the tablet up to build MV7A_31D26_422 and features all sorts of improvements.

Once updated, users should see improved 4G LTE connectivity, battery life, image quality when using the camera, and wireless connectivity. The tablet also now supports prepaid plans and an option to store photos taken on an SD card, since it has a slot for one.
