Thank goodness for competition, right? In a continuing effort to match or best other mobile carriers’ 4G LTE coverage, AT&T has aggressively expanded its coverage in rural portions of the United States. Today’s 12 added locations will bring AT&T’s total market reach to a little over 400 (488 to be exact), which is certainly more than T-Mobile’s (around 230 as of October) and Sprint’s (233), but a far cry from still behind Verizon’s 500+. But it’s OK, AT&T, slow and steady wins the race, right?
Here’s a list of locations that should be seeing 4G LTE:
- Twin Falls and Burley, ID
- Kauai, HI
- Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac, WI
- Poplar Bluff, MO
- Sikeston, MO
- Durango, CO
- Elmira, NY
- Terre Haute, IN
- Pottsville, PA
Update: To be exact, AT&T is now at 488 4G LTE markets in the U.S. Post edited to reflect the change.
