Verizon LG G2 Receives Working Kit Kat ROM Built From AOSP

LG G2 Verizon ATT

Verizon customers that are into the rooting and custom ROM game, that happen to rock an LG G2, should know that your vanilla AOSP dreams have been answered in the form of Gummy ROM. While this ROM isn’t completely stock, as a few tweaks have been made and additional features have been installed, this is essentially a clean build of Android 4.4 running on the device.

As for what is baked into the ROM, users will see full status bar mods, a theme manager like the one found in CyanogenMod builds, a lockscreen mod that adds more options for when unlocking your device, CPU performance controls, custom carrier label options, as well as a hardware key modification for the device’s back buttons. Below is the full list of added features as posted on the forum.

ROM Features:

  • New base built from AOSP
  • Status Bar Mods
  • Theme Manager
  • Hardware Key Mod
  • Lock Screen Mod
  • Performance Control
  • Application Permission Controls
  • Carrier Label Options
  • Background Style
  • Lock clock widget

Follow the via links to download the ROM zip file and GAPPs zip file. And please, make sure to create a backup before flashing any files.
