With yesterday’s announcement of a brand new Nexus 7, but no mention – not even the slightest hint – of a new 10-inch Nexus 10, some larger-tablet fans are getting concerned. But don’t go worrying too much. According to Amir Efranti, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, tweeted that Google’s Sundar Pichai has confirmed a new Nexus 10 is in the works. As head of Android and a few other things at Google, we would say it’s a safe bet that he knows what’s going on.
From what Sundar said, the new Nexus 10 is currently being developed by Samsung, just like the last one. As for when we will see it, all he said was in, “the near future.” With words like that, could it be reasonable to assume we will see it launch in October, right alongside a new version of Android at another Google event? We will just have to wait and see.
Are you more excited for the next rendition of the Nexus 10 than the Nexus 7? If so, why exactly?
