It looks as though Samsung and Google are working on a possible “game plan” to take care of all this new Apple drama. With the recent injunctions by Apple on the Galaxy Nexus to ban sales, Google looks to be stepping in to help Samsung. A Samsung source had this to say on the new developments:
It’s too early to comment on our game plan (with Google) in the legal battle; but we will do our best to get more royalties from Apple, which has benefited from our technology. The fight is becoming more dramatic and the possibility of a truce in the form of a cross-licensing deal, seems to be becoming likely.
Just as expected, Samsung has begun the appeal process on the recent injunction. As the source said, a cross licensing deal will most likely be struck, but who knows when and what it will mean yet for the companies involved. Is Apple starting to fear the Jelly Bean?
