Rovio Buys IP for Casey’s Contraptions, Intends to Re-Brand and Relaunch on Larger Scale

Recently, Rovio has confirmed that they have big plans following the huge success of Angry Birds Space. They have acquired the IP for Casey’s Contraptions, which is a popular title for iOS users. Rovio intends to re-brand the game and then launch on both Android and iOS, followed by many more platforms. Ville Heijari, VP of franchise development had this to say on the acquisition:

Working with Noel and Miguel has been fantastic, and this is a game that we all fell in love with from the first play. The gameplay is a perfect fit in our arsenal with its approachable, fun and highly addictive take on the physics puzzler genre.
