The highly anticipated Google Wallet is said to launch today, but most consumers won’t be able to enjoy it for a while. The service by Google will launch with only one supported device – the Nexus S 4G on Sprint, so Verizon customers will have to wait a bit longer if they plan on using it. What a tease, Google.
Google Wallet is theĀ beginningĀ of the future, where people won’t need to carry all their cards with them anymore. All the info is stored right on your phone and you are able to pay for everything via NFC technology. Users can also buy pre-paid Google cards if they do not have a partnering bank’s (Citibank) card services. We would like to point out that Verizon’s rumored ‘Galaxy Nexus‘ will more than likely be coming with NFC, so rest assured that Verizon will be getting some Wallet love.
