The 4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that’s headed to Verizon in “4-6 weeks” was originally supposed to be available for pre-order back on June 8, but for whatever reason couldn’t quite make it. Big Red decided that this month long delay wasn’t worth a mention (we did) and has now made the device available starting at the announced prices of $529 for the 16GB and $629 for the 32GB models on 2-year contract. Yep, it’s more expensive at 32GB than the Motorola XOOM – it will ship with 4G though!
I will say though, that this could be my favorite tablet when it comes to size and weight. The device is extremely light, thin, and also comes packed with one heck of a screen. With it’s dual-core processor (Tegra 2), 1GB of RAM, and dual cameras (although the rear one is garbage), it matches up spec-wise to everyone, but again, the weight and thickness make it easily the top dog right now. You can check our our hands-on with the I/O version here.
Cheers Gustafson!
