NVIDIA told us back in February that their new Kal-El quad-core processor could be ready for prime time tablet use by the end of the summer – most of us thought it couldn’t be possible. After all, their Tegra 2 processor was just getting its start on a select few devices, so why would they be pushing the next big thing already? I’ll just say that if quad-core will look and perform just like they’ve demoed at this year’s Computex, then I don’t even need an answer to that question.
Through this demo we see a game called Glowball, that has been developed specifically for quad-core processors. The quad-core processor with its 12-core GPU (graphics processing unit) take dynamic lighting and 3D environments to a whole new level. After watching this, you’ll probably want to look back at those SHADOWGUN screenshots from last week and get a good drool session in.
Who’s ready for Kal-El?
