Back at CES, Eye-Fi announced a new feature for their wireless transfer SD cards called Direct Mode which would allow you to not only snap photos with your camera and upload them wirelessly to your computer, but you would also be able to send them to your Android phone or tablet from anywhere. The need to be on a wireless network would no longer be a requirement as long as you had your Android device near your camera with an Eye-Fi card inserted. So, guess what? As of this week, Direct Mode is available and can be utilized through a new free Android app. Time to pull out your Eye-Fi cards, and get back to snappin’ beauties.
Oh and did we mention that one of Eye-Fi’s co-founders is a huge Droid Life reader?
