Flash 10.1 Hits Release Candidate Status

While “release candidate” status doesn’t mean Flash 10.1 will be dropping on us this week or even next, it does mean that we’ve taken another giant step towards the date which we deemed more important than the 2.1 update.  Engadget pretty much has everything summed up here…

…Adobe has now upgraded its once beta Flash Player 10.1 to Release Candidate status, and introduced a host of fixes and improvements in the process. From the looks of it, there’s nothing too radical in terms of changes from previous betas, but the RC does promise improved stability and performance, and fixes for a range of video playback problems with different graphics cards (which may or may not also involve driver updates)…
