Visible, the wireless service powered by Verizon’s network that is managed by you within a slick app, was upgraded in a major way this morning. Visible has dropped its download speed data cap, yet hasn’t touched its $40/mo price.

Previously capped at 5Mbps, Visible now offers no speed limit to its $40/mo prepaid plan. That should mean speeds on your phone as high as Verizon can send them to it. That’s a big deal knowing that Visible service costs $40 and has unlimited data, talk, and text. You get hotspot with it too, but that is still capped at 5Mbps.

Visible says that this lift on the data speed cap is a “limited” time offer. If you are a current customer or new customer, you can lock into no speed cap going forward starting today and keep that as long as you stay with Visible, but there is a chance they stop new customers down the road from getting those same speeds. As a current customer, all you need to do is reboot your phone and your speeds will open up. For new customers, well, you just need to sign-up

Want to give it a try? Compatibility with Android phones is somewhat limited still, but Visible does support the unlocked Galaxy S9 and S9+, as well as the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. In the coming weeks, they’ll also support the Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, and Moto G7 Power.
