Google posted a new message to their Nexus 6 listings on Google Play this afternoon, a message that might help you land their new Nexus phone, or at least be prepared to try and land one. According to all of the Play listings for the Nexus 6, Google is trying to get more devices in stock as soon as possible, but for now, will make more of the device available each Wednesday.
While not the best news, this is at least something, since most of us struck out in seconds when they went up for pre-order last week and have been wondering if and when more would arrive. Feel free to stop refreshing!
Here is the message:
We are getting more Nexus 6 devices in stock as soon as possible. To make things simpler for you, we will work to make more devices available each Wednesday and encourage you to visit the site then.
The Nexus 6 will also be available in AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular stores later in November. Please check with your local carrier store for more information.
Tomorrow is Wednesday, by the way.
On a related note, Google mentioned that AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular would all have the device later in November. That’s awesome and all, but why no mention of Verizon? Are we really caught up in another Verizon testing cycle that could take months, so we are now looking at a Verizon launch in December (or later)? Things seem to be getting more iffy by the day on a Big Red front. Thankfully, we already tested the phone and know that it works on Verizon out of the box.
